I’ve started to sync up the sound. I got a much later start than anticipated but I am moving along fine now. Hopefully I’ll be done with the sync by the 1st of December. From there I will begin assembling a rough cut and ideally I’ll have one to show the cast and crew before I take off for California in late December. I completed a rough trailer last week. I call it rough because I did not have sound to add to it. What I did was I took one of the tracks that I’m considering using in the film, laid it down and then slapped about two minutes of fast paced action on top of it. Everyone that’s seen has loved it. Within the next week I’ll have the trailer up on the website so check back every so often.

I just got back from Dallas where I had the Wesley Cash film processed and transferred to mini DV for editing purposes. All of the footage looks great... It's all there and now it's just a matter of piecing it together. For the next few weeks I'll be syncing up the sound, I decided to do it on my own in order to save money. After the sound has been synced up I'll be able to start editing. Check back in a week or so for a trailer, hopefully I'll have one cut by then.

Very cool. I should have the money needed for the processing and transfer by the end of the week. Just in time for Austin Film Festival. I’d like to cut a trailer and make it available on DVD so that I can hand it out at the festival but I’m not sure if I’ll have time. Austin Film Festival is great. If you can afford the pricey producers pass (I can’t this year) I highly recommend purchasing one. If $700 is a little too expensive I recommend hanging out in the Driskill bar, as it’s the place to be seen during the festival. You know I’ll never understand film festivals, or least why it cost so damn much to attend them. Film festivals are supposed to be for independent filmmakers, however very rarely do the costs associated with film festivals fit into an independent filmmakers budget.

Things have been slow since production on Wesley Cash ended. I've been working on raising funds to have the film processed and transfered. I should have the amount needed within a week or two. Once the film has been transfered I can begin editing, until then I'll continue to tread water.

I'm happy to say that we finished principle photography on the Wesley Cash Project on Thursday evening at 11:00pm. It was a rough month, 18 days of shooting, a life changing experience. I can honestly say that my family and friends made this a possibility for me and I want to thank you all for everything. Check the web-site in the days to come for production photographs, I'll also be posting my production notes which detail each days problems and our attempts to solve them. Thanks again.

Well we're off to Victoria. The first day of shooting is on Monday, getting there a little early to finish up location scouting and any other things that need taken care off. We'll be back on the 25th, I'll try to keep news coming so stay posted.

One week until the first day of shooting. Lot’s of exciting news! A DAT has been reserved; we’ll be renting from Music Makers located here in Austin. A Kinoptic 5.7mm wide-angle lens has been purchased from Jimon Entertainment out of Burbank, CA. Performance Food Group will be donating a weeks worth of food. Sheila Westerholm, you rock! Walter Womack will be helping with out with food for roughly 4-6 days. HEB will be donating food for 2 days. Tim Gonzales will be cooking as well as supplying food for a couple days. After a quick call to Fuji and a trip to Gear on Saturday we’ll have all the film/equipment/food we need. Shifting gears, the lovely and beautiful Diana Reddish has been cast as the new Samantha. Eric Herman has dropped out due to a scheduling conflict therefore I am currently looking to recast the role of Sheriff Tanner.

24 days until the first day of production. I have about half the equipment, a solid cast, a solid crew, and a locked script. I still need film, a DAT, lighting kit, and food. Things have a way of working themselves out so I’m not too worried about it. A cast and crew list has been posted on the Wesley Cash page. Check it out

The FMC project is all but wrapped up. We had our first pre-production meeting last week for the Untitled Wesley Cash Project and I am very excited. We will begin shooting on the August 4, 2003 all the way through the 31st. As of right now the fundraiser is going to be postponed indefinitely. Death by permits. Stay posted for any changes.

The screening went really well. Thanks so much to everyone who showed up to watch the FMC project. I will have VHS copies available very soon for all of the cast and crew.

Now it's time to move on and start the Untitled Wesley Cash Project. We are holding a party/fundraiser on June 11th at Fiesta Gardens. There will be a screening of the FMC project, Loser With Cool Shoes directed by Matt Taylor-Gross as well as Hopeless Devoted directed by Jason Sherman. We are also going to have five to six bands play, beer, and plenty of food so mark your calendars.

I'll do the final mix on sound tonight and should be all but done. I have to give the final cut to David Layton by 2pm tomorrow, Friday, so he can program the shorts reel for Saturday morning. It's tough to just stop working on something that you've been so focused on for over 2 months. I know that in a week I'll see a cut that's too long or too short and want to go back and fix it. But that's just how it goes. After Saturday I'm walking away from The FMC Project and I'll start working on The Untitled Wesley Cash Project.

04.24.03
Finished a rough cut last night and screened it for the crew. They were genuinely impressed. I think that there is a lot of work to be done, but so far so good. Hopefully I can have a locked cut by Saturday/Sunday for Brian, our composer, so he can start writing the music.

04.17.03
Driving up to Dallas today to sit in with Glen Shank and a few others at Video Post to supervise the transfer of the negative to DV for editing. A rough cut will be finished by no later than next Wednesday, 4/23.

04.08.03
Production on the Fuel Cell Project ended Sunday night at 9:30pm. I would like to thank all of the cast and crew members for their hard work. Editing will begin some time next week and a screening is scheduled for the tenth of May. Stay posted for when and where.

03.12.03
Film composer Brian Satterwhite will be working on The Fuel Cell Project (aka Operation Gas) as will actors Cory Criswell, Bryan Kent, Ed Pope, and Kai Martin. The project is scheduled to begin shooting April 4th.

02.25.03
Despite the freeze we had over fifty people show up and audition last night! As of right now, no further auditions will be held and for those of you who could not make it, there will be several days that we'll need background artists. So if you're interested, please check back from time to time and we'll keep you posted.

Great News! Bandwagon Films saw two short film projects go into pre-production last night.

RESUMES ACCEPTED - A man becomes increasingly emotionally unbalanced as he interviews a series of offbeat characters at a job fair.

OPERATION GAS - In the not so near future, a new fuel source is so precious, people are killed for it.
