Quarter to Life

Logline:
A quarter-life crisis can be hard enough to defend against, but when you throw in an ex-girlfriend, three moronic friends, a guy's night out, and a circus freak; confusion seems eternal.

Synopsis:
Josh Anderson is a young writer who has lost all creative inspiration. Still living in the small town of Fort Worth, Texas, where he graduated four years earlier, Josh finds himself prolonging college life with his three long-time buddies: Jimmy, Rizzo, and Carl.

Another school year begins at TCU and Josh's depression only seems to worsen as his troubles mount. He is constantly two steps behind at work. He falls in love just as his ex-fiancé makes an untimely return home. Finally his father dies and he must decide whether to move back to Ohio in order to assume control of the family dry cleaning business. Josh's friends only make matters worse by dragging him into their own problems; Jimmy's wife is cheating on him; Carl is a full-blown alcoholic who seems to think the harder he drinks the closer he will be to college; And Rizzo, well after confronting his girlfriend about her weight problem she drops the bomb on him, she's pregnant.

Act 2 explodes into what results as a three-day adventure for Josh and his buddies where the destructive cycle our hero's friendships becomes more and more apparent. Carl is driving drunk and the group gets arrested. Josh has to call his new love to bail them out. Rizzo is fired for missing work. Jimmy is encouraged to leave his wife. Instead of helping, the group only seems to hinder each other. And the more troubling the questions become, the more the crew looks to each other for guidance.

Quarter 2 Life is a humorous yet realistic take, on the terrifying quarter-life crisis - where all struggle to leave the twenties behind and welcome the rest of their lives.
